Guide to 4 Ice Shavers

Option 1
"Easy Startup"

Picture
Good for a limited starting budget. If elementary or high school kids can easily reach your business or if you have a stand dedicated to party needs, this is a good starting ice crusher.

Based on our and customers' experience, kids love their snow cones with this simple but valuable electric ice crusher. For best results, we recommend using ice made from ice bags instead of using small ice cubes.

Price Range: P900 to P3500

Where:
There are many sellers of this
"Smash Ice Device" or Ice Crusher

(1) in Lazada. Search for "Ice Crusher". Tip: Look for the sellers with high ratings.

or (2) along Tabora Street, near PSBank - (CLICK HERE FOR MAP) in Divisoria

DISCLAIMER: Suppliers of Option 1 provide repair and support but most do not usually offer complete or more than 6 months of warranty, but so far all the ice shavers we got from them are working fine. Purchase at your own risk. Examples given above are simply stores we have bought from in the past and not provided as recommendations.

Option 2
"Finer Ice"

Some of our customers own this and feedback so far is good. But please tell us at m.me/kielsyrup just in case you see negative feedback about this shaver, and we will remove it immediately.

Price range: P8000+
Where:
We suggest searching for
Electric Ice Shaver BY-168
on Lazada and select the supplier with good reviews.

Option 3
"Almost Like Snow"

Picture
Most popular internationally in the snow cone industry: the "Hatsuyuki HC-S32A" from Japan. Although we believe it is secondary to the block ice shaver (see Option 4) in making superfine ice, it is easier to operate as it only requires cubed ice and also produces shaved ice almost as fine.

Price Range: P60,000 to P100,000+

Where:
Its exclusive distributor in the Philippines is PFESCORP in Mandaluyong (near MRT Shaw Blvd). Inquire if they have stock. Contact them here.

Option 4
"Fine as Snow"

If you've got the perfect location for a Hawaiian shaved ice stand, get a block ice shaver. Just like in the US, Hawaii, and other countries, great Hawaiian shave ice businesses in the Philippines, such as Masatami Shave Ice in MOA, use block ice shavers. Cherry's Hawaiian Shave Ice in Cebu is another example.

Here is a look at a block ice shaver in operation:

Contact us for the best and most trusted suppliers of block ice shavers in Manila so we can guide you in choosing which one is best for you.

Price ranges from
P18,500 to P25,000

Investment for the finest.

In the US,
block ice shavers price ranges from as low as P10,000 -- Great Northern Popcorn Company (click here) >> to as high as P135,000 -- new block ice shaver by Snowie >>
.

Tip: The more expensive ones are not necessarily the better ones. We highly recommend seeing their customer reviews first when choosing your ice shaver
.

Important Tips re: Shaved Ice:

  1. For best results, always use freshly shaved ice. Ice that has been pre-shaved and left in the cooler will become too wet and crunchy (i.e., your snow cones will taste bland and become harder for customers to eat).
  2. When serving the shaved ice into a cup or cone, never push hard into the cup or cone because the ice will clump up and become harder to eat. Also, do not squeeze your shaved ice.

Please contact us if you know other equipment distributor/s anywhere so we can share them to the Philippines.
